I got off the train and stepped right into the Puerto Rican parade. I should have taken it as a sign, after I stood and watched for 10 minutes that my pure productivity plan was going to fail, but I soldiered on. I saw and ran with kids in the wind blown fountain found in Grant Park, getting soaked in minutes. I saw a disney themed zombie walk and chatted with Zombie Prince Eric for a bit. I witnessed gorgeous photos being shot for a blonde chica and her indian husband. They were both in their red and gold sari and kurta pajama, and leaning elegantly on a marble pillar of the Chicago Center for Trade. Then I saw an even bigger photoshoot for some stellar skateboarding alongside a bridge. I met a girl, who had been in Paris, who helped me choose new sunglasses. I walked with the giant, neon crowd of a (I found out later) huge and utterly amazing dubstep concert, that I somehow hadn’t heard about.
